You just gotta love the 50’s!
All those groovy music, the jukebox, the 50’s Diner, the roller skates and even a little bit of rock and roll.
And when you hear the music of the 50’s, you can’t help but just sing and dance along.
“Well, I got a brand new pair of roller skates
You got a brand new key
I think that we should get together
And try them out, you see”
“I ride my bike, I roller skate, don’t drive no car
Don’t go too fast but I go pretty far
For somebody who don’t drive, I been all around the world
Some people say, I done all right for a girl”
The initial idea for Diane’s look is more modern but still has that 50’s feel. Instead of the usual balloon skirts, we added layer of checkered skirts under a checkered dress, a shimmer purple leggings and a detachable lace collar plus a nice pair of white and pink Derby Skates to have that vintage vibe.
Errol and Diane are doing The Twist as their skating skills were put to the test!
They say you gotta find someone who can teach you a thing or two once in a while.
And it’s always nice to learn things together with someone you love. Someone who you can have fun and play around with,
Someone who will not get tired of tying your shoe laces for you,
And someone who will guide and catch you when you fall down.
